The Procedure of Brazilian Butt Lift surgery

The Procedure

This procedure is done under IV (intravenous) sedation or general anaesthesia. The initial step of the procedure is liposuction. Small incisions are taken in the fat rich areas of the body like the thigh under local anaesthesia. A cannula/thin tube is passed through the incisions. With back and forth motions of the cannula the fat in the butt area is loosened. This extracted fat is then vacuumed out into a syringe.

The second step involves administration of fat injection in buttocks. The amount of fat suctioned is almost three times that might be required for buttock augmentation. The fat, tissue and blood removed are processed before these fat injections are injected into the buttocks through multiple injection sites.

  • The results of this surgical buttock augmentation procedure are immediately visible. However, it takes a year for the results to show up and settle the fat.
  • But over time as the fat gets absorbed by the body and the patient ages the results might be lost and repeat surgery will be required.
